An awe-inspiring opportunity to explore the Moon from Apache-Sitgreaves Observatory using Arizona's LARGEST dedicated public telescope. Visitors observe interesting Lunar features under some of the best skies in the South West. See The Moon, like never before. This 1.5 to 2 hour program starts in the early evening and accommodates 16 people.

Clothing: PLEASE dress appropriately (bring a winter coat, hats and gloves)! When we are sitting and looking up at the sky we feel the ambient outside temperature and although it is warm in Phoenix, it will be substantially colder (20-25 degrees) after the sun sets in Overgaard which is at an elevation of just under 7000 ft. Do your best to bring warm clothing; your experience will be enhanced when you are dressed appropriately. It is better to be prepared than cold!
